Pure

I wanted to take a moment to honor my son, Jacob. I have learned more from him than anyone. He brings me back to me with ease and love. He shows me only acceptance and always reflects back to me my kindness and sweetness. Children are in need of our understanding and care. Love them unconditionally because that is all they give and it is what they deserve.

I love you Jacob.

the practice: stop, smile, and listen to the next child that arrives in your path. if you have a child, slow down and be present with your child. experience all that he/she is and embrace all that they represent that is the purest part of you.

Expand love

Do others hold you back or do you hold yourself back? Maybe both. The truth is I don't know. I have struggled with the answer and many times thought i understood the concept in theory and experientially, but i do not. I see and hear many who speak of being positive and that nothing is real and that negativity is not a reality. It sounds really good. However, everyday, I see someone and experience their deep struggle to be happy and be free of the obstacles that keep them tortured. For them it is real.

I allow each day to be a movement forward and strive to be inspiring in most moments. The truth for me on this day is that my happiness seems to coincide with someone else's strife. The bittersweet flavor of continuous change. What happens when you move forward and others in your life do not want you to because it illuminates what they consider to be their weakness? Clearly you need to keep walking forward. How do you let go of that feeling in your stomach that aches deeply as it perceives love as carrying another's weight? You keep walking forward. There is a continuous flow of life that evokes the extraordinary and as you dare to live it many others will become more and more uncomfortable. Uncomfortable creates change.

Change brings deeper forms of love and those that we feel may leave from our expansion of love may in fact come right back to us with more understanding. Give yourself permission to be happy.

the practice: check in with yourself each day to see who you are allowing to stop your growth. allow it into your awareness, let go of blame and guilt, choose understanding, and deepen your self-love by walking forward.

Loving Through Adversity

There is so much kindness that exists. It is easy to forget. I forgot today. Life with expectation got the best of me. I expected a family member to love me and was attached to how I needed it to be. Needless to say, it hurt deeply and brought up old wounds that seemed infinite. I forgot about everyone who loved me and who consistently show up for me. It was as if they no longer existed even though they were directly in front of me listening to my process of letting go. Later in the early evening, a friend stopped by who seemed worse off than me and I listened with love, returning the favor. In that moment, I was reminded of my kindness and my love of giving. No matter how much I hurt or have been hurt, giving is the best way to receive and is who I am. In giving to her, I remembered the love inside of me and allowed myself to heal. I got an opportunity to step outside of myself and give. I used to believe that was an expression of my lack of self-love. And now I know that, in fact, it is an expression of my self-love. I have a new found gratitude for my ability to give and its power. And thanks to the very special people in my life that gave to me today, you know who you are. Without them I would not have remembered how loving through adversity is truly the only option. Certainly you will need to process through the hurt, however, it is possible to end up in a state of love; the pure you.

How do you let go of what hurts you? Giving to yourself by sharing your innate gift.

The Sacred Exists When We Listen

The spiritual stalemate. Where has the magic gone?

I remember a time when angels and initiations into the unseen were an everyday occurrence. It seems so easy to allow the mundane to immerse itself into the possibility of miracles. And it seems like the more we talk about miracles, the less they come to life. Divinity is a beautiful thing to experience in each moment. So many have told me that each moment cannot be and is not meant to be sacred and extraordinary. I have been told that I am utopian and stubborn. And I am. I believe everyday magic exists when we place the awareness into our day. Life is a choice. I am making the choice to revisit my visitation.

What is an angel? Do they exist? Are they watching, observing, and guiding? When was your visitation of the extraordinary? Has your call called? Are you listening? Life changes and reinvents itself in ways that are only awe-inspiring. My life has been guided and continues to be guided in deep rooted lessons that bring light to a world and a reality that creates and sings only poetry. I believe what you feel is impossible is in fact possible. Bringing the concept of magic back into your world is like an alchemical elixir that turns the mundane into meaning.

The Practice:

As you awake each morning, choose to NOT do your day exactly the same and CHOOSE to remember the magic. Expect to be a part of a miracle whether the giver or the receiver.

Gently flow forward and smile deep into the eyes and heart of someone and connect into your essence.

Warmth
